Custom Stickers - Vinyl and UV DTF Stickers

What is a die-cut vinyl sticker, and is it waterproof?
A die-cut vinyl sticker is cut precisely to the outline of your design, so there is no square border of leftover backing around the artwork. It is made from durable vinyl rather than paper, which makes it water-resistant, fade-resistant, and long-lasting on laptops, water bottles, cars, and outdoor surfaces you use every day.
What is the difference between die-cut and kiss-cut stickers?
Die-cut and kiss-cut stickers use the same vinyl; the difference is how deep the cut goes. A die-cut sticker is cut all the way through, following your design's outline. A kiss-cut sticker is cut only through the top layer, leaving the backing intact so the sticker sits on a square peel-away sheet.
What is UV DTF and how does it work?
UV DTF (ultraviolet direct-to-film) is a sticker-style transfer made by printing a design with UV-cured ink onto a film, then laminating it. You peel it and press it by hand onto hard, smooth surfaces such as tumblers, mugs, phone cases, and laptops. No heat, weeding, or transfer tape is required.
Are UV DTF cup wraps vinyl stickers or transfers?
UV DTF cup wraps are transfers, not cut vinyl stickers. The design is printed with UV-cured ink onto a film, then you peel and stick it onto hard, smooth surfaces like tumblers, glass, and metal. No heat press, weeding, or transfer tape is needed, and the finish is glossy and full-color.
How do you apply a UV DTF cup wrap?
To apply a UV DTF cup wrap, first clean the tumbler so it is free of dust and oils. Peel the design from its backing, align it on the surface, then firmly burnish from the center outward with a squeegee or card. Slowly remove the clear transfer film. No heat press is required.
UV DTF cup wraps apply without a heat press, which is why so many first-time buyers ask how it is done. The process is a short, repeatable sequence: prep the surface, peel, position, burnish, and remove the carrier film.
Can I order a custom-size sticker, and why does one dimension lock the other?
Yes. You can order Jiffy stickers in a custom size. When you upload your design and enter a width or height, the other dimension adjusts automatically to keep your artwork's original proportions, so the image never stretches or distorts. To change the shape itself, resize or re-crop your file before uploading, then set your size.
What size UV DTF cup wrap do I need for my tumbler?
Measure the smooth, straight band of the cup: wrap a paper strip around it for the circumference, then measure that band's height. Choose the wrap size covering both. Tapered cups need sizing to the narrowest usable band.
How do I measure a tumbler for a UV DTF wrap?
Use a flexible tape or a paper strip at the widest point of the smooth wall, then mark and measure it. Measure height from below the rim to above any base curve, since a wrap needs one flat, uninterrupted surface. Round up between sizes.
