I ran a high school printshop doing several thousand shirts a year, and have retired. I still am using shirts from Jiffy and I like the Gildans. I have never had a complaint about the quality or weight of the shirts and have done shirts for school drama programs, Scout troops, girls camps, and school clubs. All are for active youth and they get used! I have kids still using shirts 10 years later, and the shirts still hold color and silk screened designs.

Great shirts that screen print easily. Shirts hold up after multiple washings without losing color or shape. In the south the 5.3 oz is cool and comfortable for the heat and humidity we see. Gilden is always my first choice for t shirts!

Soft, true to size, bleaches and sublimates great. I do not use any sprays! The pitch black mist bleaches beautifully-no orange!

Thirty-eight professional musicians wore color-coded shirts to identify his/her family of instruments on stage. Children at school concerts could clearly and easily recognize strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion. A fifth color was used to spot music teachers, in the audience, who led their students during the programs.

This shirt has the best fit, look and price. I’ve compared it to Bella Canvas, Next Level, Tultex and American Apparel which all have similar price range. Anything above $6 was a no go matter how it look or fit. The things I looked for in my shirts were how the neckline looked, how it fit and look around the sleeve and the polyester count had to be above 40%. Before I started using this shirt I was using American Apparel 50/50 but the price kept increasing from what was already high. After my switch realized this was a better shirt. This CVC Softstyle is better than the regular Softstyle. One con is that they need more colors. Here’s a picture of sublimation and vinyl print together.

I usually use bella canvas brand but with there being so many out of stock I have substituted with the Gilden soft style and they are hands-down very much equivalent. Possibly even softer than the Bella. More colors they are vibrant. And Screen well

I make handmade tie dye shirts to sell on eBay and Etsy and the Gildan G500 is my go to choice for shirt blanks. The quality and price point of these shirts cannot be beat. The fabric is the perfect thickness. It’s not too heavy where it feels hot to wear, but it’s also not so light that it’s see through. It’s also the perfect length where it’s long enough to be tucked in but doesn’t look strange if not tucked in. The cotton also takes the dye beautifully. I’ve bought hundreds of these shirts and will continue to buy them in the future.

These were decorated for Family Day at church for this Sunday. The color is so much more vibrant than on screen. They fit perfectly. We have not worn or washed these yet, but past orders of shirts have been worn and washed and were fine. Gildan is our go-to brand because the shirts are consistently durable and soft. Jiffy makes ordering large quantities affordable.
